Therapy is about change. It’s a future focused act. It is a process by which we move from what was and create what will be next.

Our beliefs about ourselves and others may have become rigid due to trauma, fear or social conditioning. Therapy is about developing cognitive and emotional flexibility so that we are not afraid of our emotions and become open to potential. In our sessions you will have the opportunity to be playful and explore roles and territories outside of our already lived experience.

By telling your story, reframing old scripts, stepping into new roles and being curious about yourself and others, you invite new ways to respond to life with compassion and effectiveness.

My practice is made up of individuals who are seeking help for emotion regulation and want to do more than survive; they want to thrive. My clients want a therapy that offers both insight and tools for change. They want a process that is challenging, deep, creative and nourishing. They want to work hard. They believe in change. And they believe their pasts do not determine their future selves.
Therapy is less about the diagnosis and more about the desires and goals of each client. Even in the darkest moments, sessions can be transporting, affirming and hopeful.

Your Story
Everybody has a story to tell, a story to be heard and a story to write. Therapy is the process of listening, understanding, and owning one’s story. But it shouldn’t stop there. We also have the capacity to shift our stories, find meaning in them, and take action to create narratives that we choose to live into. In this way, therapy is not a passive process but an active, creative venture of discovery and change.
Skills Training
Sometimes, it’s not enough to just talk about our lives. We want to actually learn tools to help us respond to life in a way that is effective. Growth requires learning, takes practice and doing what works.
In my practice, I provide training in research-based skills to help you stop reacting out of habit and build the life you want. I provide reading, homework and opportunities for practice with skills training from: Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Change Therapy, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, Positive Psychology and other resources.
Drama Therapy
Many of my clients want to make their personal, emotional and social growth an artistic endeavor. Drama Therapy is about finding and telling your story, increasing spontaneity and learning to improvise with mindful awareness. Utilizing the tools of theater, we step into alternative possibilities, discover more about ourselves. and learn to experience and express emotions, desires and needs.

Twisting the Plot
Twisting the plot is a platform for women over 50 who want new roadmaps to new futures.
